SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Thomas E. "Tom" DeCrane of Moline, who
4passed away on July 21, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Tom DeCrane was born in Rock Island to Donald and
6Theresa (Klauer) DeCrane on April 16, 1955; he served in the
7U.S. Air Force and married Irita Fischer in Rhaunen, Germany
8on February 14, 1975; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Tom DeCrane retired as a project manager from the
10U.S. Army in 2014 after 38 years of service; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Tom DeCrane was a member of the NRA and the Milan
12Rifle Club; he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a kind and
13caring man who loved his family and friends; he was of the
14Catholic faith; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Tom DeCrane was preceded in death by his parents
16and his siblings, Stephen and Linda; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Tom DeCrane is survived by his wife, Irita; his
18children, Samantha (Jeremiah) DeCrane Kaha and Elisabeth
19DeCrane; his siblings, Daniel (Becky) DeCrane and Christine
20(Greg) Miecznikowski; and his sister-in-law, Petra Gillespie;

1therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Thomas E. "Tom" DeCrane and extend our sincere condolences to
5his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Tom DeCrane as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
