2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Eldon Bradley of Lynn Center, who |
4 | | passed away on September 3, 2022; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Eldon Bradley was born to Leroy and Mable (Adams) |
6 | | Bradley in Cutbank, Montana on May 19, 1945; he served in the |
7 | | U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; he married Linda Riner in |
8 | | Denver, Colorado on November 16, 1977; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Eldon Bradley worked on oil rigs in Montana for |
10 | | the Texas Oil Company as a young man; he was a fabricator for |
11 | | Coors and later for Alcoa; he and his wife also owned and |
12 | | operated Nan and Paps Apple Butter; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Eldon Bradley was a member of the Ophiem VA, |
14 | | where he held the title of adjunct; he was in charge of the |
15 | | VA's monthly meetings and helped place flags on veterans' |
16 | | graves for Memorial Day; he was also a valued member of Ophiem |
17 | | American Legion Post 1077; and

18 | | WHEREAS, Eldon Bradley enjoyed gardening and farming; he |
19 | | was an expert carpet installer and enjoyed being able to help |
20 | | his family with his skills; and
