SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Thomas Paul Doty of Fulton, who passed 
4away on September 10, 2022; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Doty was born to Arthur and Lillian (Lott) 
6Doty in Sterling on July 25, 1940; he married Barbara Full in 
7Dixon on January 1, 1965, and she preceded him in death on 
8February 21, 2015; he served in the U.S. Navy; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Thomas Doty was a member of St. Patrick Catholic 
10Church in Albany and the Knights of Columbus, where he served 
11as a 4th degree member; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Thomas Doty enjoyed golfing, spending time with 
13friends, taking annual trips to Texas, and sports; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Thomas Doty was preceded in death by his parents; 
15his wife, Barbara; and his sister, Doris Smith; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Thomas Doty is survived by his sons, Patrick Doty 
17and Timothy (Kathy) Doty; his brothers, Don (Barb) Doty and 
18Terry (Mary) Doty; and his grandchildren, Travis (Sophia) 
19Doty, Trenten Doty, Ryan Doty, and Megan Doty; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Thomas Paul Doty and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Thomas Doty as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
