| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of John F. Carlson of Peoria, who passed |
| 4 | | away on September 8, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, John Carlson was born to Francis C. and Frances |
| 6 | | (Doolan) Carlson in Peoria on April 26, 1951; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, John Carlson previously worked as a director of |
| 8 | | administration at the Peoria County Health Department, a |
| 9 | | personnel director for Peoria County, and as the city |
| 10 | | administrator for West Peoria; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, John Carlson was known for always being the life |
| 12 | | of the party and a magnetic force within his family; he adored |
| 13 | | his five grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Poppy"; he |
| 14 | | also possessed a deep spirituality; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, John Carlson was preceded in death by his parents |
| 16 | | and his brother, Joe Carlson; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, John Carlson is survived by his daughter, Mary |
| 18 | | (Travis) Loux; his son, Michael (Abby); his grandchildren, |
| 19 | | Ruby, Lucy, Frances, Vincent, and Annie; his cousins, Vivian, |
| 20 | | Jim, Charlotte, Kelley, Peggy, and Wayne; and his former wife, |
