| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Theresa Norton Greco of Springfield, |
| 4 | | who passed away on September 16, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Theresa Greco was born to Donald R. Norton Sr. |
| 6 | | and Mary Terry Norton in Boulder, Colorado on December 24, |
| 7 | | 1963; she graduated from Pleasant Plains High School in 1981; |
| 8 | | she earned her Communications degree from Illinois College in |
| 9 | | Jacksonville, where she belonged to different organizations, |
| 10 | | most notably Gamma Delta Literary Society; she earned her |
| 11 | | Elementary Education degree and her master's degree in |
| 12 | | Secondary Education from the University of Illinois of |
| 13 | | Springfield; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Theresa Greco began her teaching career at |
| 15 | | Douglas Alternative School and later taught at Southeast High |
| 16 | | School; she then accepted a position at Springfield High |
| 17 | | School, where she spent 19 years positively impacting the |
| 18 | | lives of thousands of students as a teacher and later as an |
| 19 | | assistant principal; she concluded her career as assistant |
| 20 | | principal for Franklin Middle School; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Theresa Greco loved rooting for her cherished St. |
| 22 | | Louis Cardinals; and
