| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Richard B. Powell of Moline, who |
| 4 | | passed away on October 7, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Richard Powell was born to Cloyse B. and Berdella |
| 6 | | A. Doyle Powell in Highland Park, Michigan on September 22, |
| 7 | | 1930; he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean |
| 8 | | Conflict; he married Darleen R. Beckstrom in Denver, Colorado |
| 9 | | on May 1, 1953, and she preceded him in death on April 5, 2009; |
| 10 | | and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Richard Powell worked as an accountant with |
| 12 | | Caterpillar Inc. from 1964 until his retirement in 1985; he |
| 13 | | also started the Powell Income Tax Service in 1966; he later |
| 14 | | became a realtor with both Century 21 and South Towne; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Richard Powell was a member of Bethany Church in |
| 16 | | Moline; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Richard Powell was preceded in death by his wife; |
| 18 | | his parents; his daughter, Debbie Loftin; and his brother, |
| 19 | | Joe; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Richard Powell is survived by his children, |
