| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Benny John "BJ" Reinke, who passed |
| 4 | | away on August 6, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, BJ Reinke was born to Melvin "John" and Esther |
| 6 | | "Irene" (Pruett) Reinke in Alton on February 20, 1954; he |
| 7 | | served in the U.S. Navy; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, BJ Reinke previously worked as a boilermaker |
| 9 | | until 1980; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, BJ Reinke was a member of Zion Lutheran Church; |
| 11 | | and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, BJ Reinke was preceded in death by his longtime |
| 13 | | companion, Charlotte Allred; his parents; and his brothers, |
| 14 | | Scott and Melvyn; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, BJ Reinke is survived by his children and their |
| 16 | | spouses, Dan (Heather) Reinke, Lucy Leahy, and Shane Gray; his |
| 17 | | siblings and their spouses, Cathy (Keith) Willlis, Karl (Debi) |
| 18 | | Reinke, and Jackie Leahy; his grandchildren, Deven Reinke, |
| 19 | | Deren Reinke, Hunter Porteous, Dakota Porteous, Gavin Gray, |
| 20 | | and Alyssa Gray; and his many nieces, nephews, other relatives |
