SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of David William Mehuys of Moline, who 
4passed away on October 20, 2022; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, David Mehuys was born to William and Ruth (Harms) 
6Mehuys in Germany on  October 30, 1950; he served in the U.S. 
7Army during the Vietnam War; he married Rebecca Foreman in 
8Missouri in 2003; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, David Mehuys worked at the Rock Island Arsenal 
10for many years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, David Mehuys loved music and being in the 
12mountains; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, David Mehuys is survived by his wife; his 
14children, Adam (Anita) Mehuys, Michael Mehuys, and Omega 
15(Stephan) Dipple; his stepchildren, Chad Wright and Emily 
16(Cedric) Cisneros; his granddaughter, Astarael Handelman; his 
17step-grandchildren, Allysa and Averi Wright; and his siblings, 
18Christopher and John Mehuys; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1David William Mehuys and extend our sincere
condolences to his 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it
