| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Marillyn Rosalie (Wright) Wilson of |
| 4 | | Milan, who passed away on October 26, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Marillyn Wilson was born on September 30, 1922; |
| 6 | | she graduated from Moline High School in 1940; after high |
| 7 | | school, she enlisted in the Women Accepted for Volunteer |
| 8 | | Emergency Service (WAVES) of the U.S. Navy, where she served |
| 9 | | for 18 months while stationed in Washington D.C.; she married |
| 10 | | Gerald "Gay" Wilson on July 20, 1946, and he preceded her in |
| 11 | | death on May 10, 2004; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Marillyn Wilson worked as a secretary for several |
| 13 | | companies, retiring from the Q.C. Electrical Contractors |
| 14 | | Association; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Marillyn Wilson was a member of the Pythian |
| 16 | | Sisters and Trinity United Methodist Church of Milan; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Marillyn Wilson's greatest pleasure was spending |
| 18 | | time with her family, and they recently celebrated her 100th |
| 19 | | birthday; she also enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Marillyn Wilson was preceded in death by her |
