| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Mary Ellen (Corcoran) Knight, who |
| 4 | | passed away on November 4, 2021; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mary Ellen Knight was born on July 12, 1955; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Mary Ellen Knight was the beloved wife of James |
| 7 | | Knight; the loving mother of Jason (Shannon), Dillon |
| 8 | | (Dominique), and the late Anthony "Tony" Knight; the dearest |
| 9 | | sister of Michele (the late Stan) Nowak, Tim (Jan) Corcoran, |
| 10 | | Maribeth (Tom) Purtle, Patti (Kevin) Walsh, and Liane (Jim) |
| 11 | | Birk; the dear sister-in-law of Fred (Christine) and the late |
| 12 | | Joseph Knight; and the cherished aunt of many nieces and |
| 13 | | nephews; therefore, be it

| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
| 15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 16 | | Mary Ellen (Corcoran) Knight and extend our sincere |
| 17 | | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved |
| 18 | | her; and be it further

| 19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 20 | | presented to the family of Mary Ellen Knight as an expression |
