| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Scott Schoeller, who passed away on |
| 4 | | July 24, 2022; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Scott Schoeller grew up in Skokie, where he |
| 6 | | attended Cleveland Elementary School, Oakview Middle School, |
| 7 | | and Niles East High School; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Scott Schoeller was a 40-year member of the |
| 9 | | Skokie Chamber of Commerce, most recently serving as board |
| 10 | | chair; he started Contour Landscaping in his neighbor's garage |
| 11 | | in 1976, growing his company into a thriving business in |
| 12 | | Skokie's downtown; he also served as president of the Illinois |
| 13 | | Professional Lawn Care Association and as a certified arborist |
| 14 | | of the International Society of Arboriculture; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, In addition to his service to businesses in the |
| 16 | | landscaping industry, Scott Schoeller devoted his time as an |
| 17 | | instructor for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and as an |
| 18 | | introduction leader for Landmark Education, a personal and |
| 19 | | professional development company; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Scott Schoeller is survived by his wife, Mary; |
| 21 | | his son, Ben; and his daughter, Heidi; therefore, be it
