| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Edilberto "Ed" Ramos, who passed away |
| 4 | | on July 15, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Edilberto "Ed" Ramos started his professional |
| 6 | | career as an administrator with United Airlines and worked |
| 7 | | there for 20 years before retiring to become a part owner of |
| 8 | | the Best Travel Agency for nine years; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Edilberto "Ed" Ramos was a 35-year resident of |
| 10 | | Morton Grove, and serving his community was his greatest |
| 11 | | accomplishment; he was a Eucharistic minister and usher for |
| 12 | | St. Martha Parish since 2005; he was an active member and |
| 13 | | advisor of the Morton Grove Filipino-American organization; |
| 14 | | for the Village of Morton Grove, he first served as village |
| 15 | | clerk for three years and later as trustee for five years; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Edilberto "Ed" Ramos is survived by his wife of |
| 17 | | 54 years, Rebecca; his children, Ed Jr. (Paula) and Jennifer |
| 18 | | (Steve) Driscoll; his grandchildren, Julian, Eric, Drew, |
| 19 | | Holly, and Cailyn; and his siblings, Emma, Zenaida, Erlinda, |
| 20 | | Leticia, Evelyn, and Cecelia; therefore, be it
