| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of William S. "Bill" Habel of Naperville, |
| 4 | | formerly of Lisle, who passed away on July 29, 2021 at the age |
| 5 | | of 63; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Bill Habel was born in Melrose Park on January |
| 7 | | 10, 1958; he graduated from Proviso East High School in 1976; |
| 8 | | he received his bachelor's degree from National Labor College |
| 9 | | in 2006 and his master's degree from George Mason University |
| 10 | | in 2010; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Bill Habel started his career as an electrician |
| 12 | | in 1986 and was a member of I.B.E.W Local #701; he retired as |
| 13 | | an assistant business manager; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Bill Habel enjoyed playing golf, boating, |
| 15 | | drinking beer, visiting beaches, grilling, floating in his |
| 16 | | pool, and listening to Tom Petty and Margaritaville radio; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Bill Habel was preceded in death by his mother |
| 18 | | and stepfather, MaryAnn and Eugene Maneschalchi; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Bill Habel was the cherished husband of 39 years |
| 20 | | of Judy Habel; the beloved dad of Stefanie and Jeff Martens and |
