| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Evelyn Francis "Evie" (Fettes) |
| 4 | | Tiemann of Oak Park, who passed away on January 12, 2022 at the |
| 5 | | age of 79; and

| 6 | | WHEREAS, Evie Tiemann was born in Boston, Massachusetts on |
| 7 | | August 19, 1942; as the oldest of nine children, she was |
| 8 | | affectionately referred to as "Mother" by her siblings; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Evie Tiemann was a career educator; she taught |
| 10 | | full time for 50 years until her retirement; outside of the |
| 11 | | classroom, she was an avid country line and partner dancer; |
| 12 | | and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Evie Tiemann participated in multiple food and |
| 14 | | reading groups and often gave books to family members as |
| 15 | | gifts; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Evie Tiemann's faith was an integral part of her |
| 17 | | life, and she began every morning by reading a devotional from |
| 18 | | her prayer book; she was also a mentor within the Lutheran |
| 19 | | community; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Evie Tiemann was known for her infectious smile, |
