SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Sam A. Montalbano of Sherman, who
4passed away on November 28, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Sam Montalbano was born to Leo and Jane
6Montalbano in Springfield on May 9, 1929; he served in the U.S.
7Army during the Korean War; he married Carole L. Lawson on
8August 4, 1956, and she preceded him in death on April 27,
92020; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Sam Montalbano was a member of the Church of the
11Little Flower in Springfield; he served as a member of the
12Little Flower Men's Club, the Sangamon County Board, Teamsters
13#916, Boy Scout Troop #202, Breakfast for Friend-in-Deed, VFW
1410302, and the Sangamon County Inter Veterans Burial Detail;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Sam Montalbano was preceded in death by his
17parents; his wife; his son, Terry Montalbano; his sisters, Ann
18Montalbano and Mamie Unser; and his brothers, Frank and Tony
19Montalbano; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Sam Montalbano is survived by his daughter, Karen
21(Hoyt) Hampton; his sons, Mark (Donna) Montalbano and John

1(Becky Ward) Montalbano; his seven grandchildren; his six
2great-grandchildren; his sister, Marquerite Culton; and his
3several nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Sam A. Montalbano and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Sam Montalbano as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
