| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Adam Sloan of Edwards, who passed away |
| 4 | | on December 9, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Adam Sloan was born to Morton and Leah (Robin) |
| 6 | | Sloan in Chicago on July 22, 1942; he graduated from Maine |
| 7 | | Township High School; he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 |
| 8 | | to 1967; he earned his bachelor's degree from Central Missouri |
| 9 | | State and his master's degree from the University of Maryland; |
| 10 | | and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, After moving to Peoria in 1975, Adam Sloan |
| 12 | | briefly worked for the U.S. Army Recruiting Command; he was |
| 13 | | hired by Marvin Hult in 1977 and worked at the advertising |
| 14 | | agency that became Hult Fritz Matuszak Inc. for 23 years, |
| 15 | | serving clients that included Bergner's, CILCO, Proctor |
| 16 | | Hospital, Caterpillar, and many more; after a brief |
| 17 | | retirement, he set up a business under his own name and |
| 18 | | continued working in advertising for 10 more years; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Adam Sloan served on the boards of and worked on |
| 20 | | projects for many organizations, including the Friends of Glen |
| 21 | | Oak Zoo, the United Way, the Hult Health Education Center, the |
| 22 | | Center for Prevention of Abuse, WTVP, B'nai B'rith, and the |
