| 4 | | Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 11 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 11. Italian-American Heritage Month. The month of |
| 8 | | October of each year is designated as Italian-American |
| 9 | | Heritage Month to be observed throughout the State as a month |
| 10 | | to recognize the contributions and influence of Italians on |
| 11 | | American history, achievement, culture, and innovation.
