Creates the Child Care Reimbursement Program Act. Requires the Department of Human Services to establish a Child Care Reimbursement Program to make reimbursements to child care workers for any amounts they paid for child care services provided to their children aged 5 or younger at a day care center. Requires eligible child care workers to claim reimbursements on forms and through a process prescribed by the Department. Grants the Department rulemaking authority.

| 1 | | AN ACT concerning child care.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Child |
| 5 | | Care Reimbursement Program Act. |
| 6 | | Section 5. Definitions. As used in this Act: |
| 7 | | "Child care service" means a service that provides for |
| 8 | | the care, health, safety, and supervision of a child's |
| 9 | | social, emotional, and educational growth. |
| 10 | | "Child care worker" means a person who provides care, |
| 11 | | supervision, or instruction to a child within the scope of |
| 12 | | the person's employment at a day care center. |
| 13 | | "Day care center" has the meaning ascribed to that |
| 14 | | term in Section 2.09 of the Child Care Act of 1969. |
| 15 | | Section 10. Child Care Reimbursement Program. The |
| 16 | | Department of Human Services shall establish a Child Care |
| 17 | | Reimbursement Program to make reimbursements to child care |
| 18 | | workers for any amounts they paid for child care services |
| 19 | | provided to their children aged 5 or younger at a day care |
| 20 | | center. Eligible child care workers shall claim reimbursements |
| 21 | | on forms and through a process prescribed by the Department. |
