Amends the General Assembly Operations Act. Provides that, on and after the effective date of the amendatory Act, the General Assembly shall, by joint resolution, establish a revenue estimate for the following State fiscal year by April 30 of each year. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The General Assembly Operations Act is amended |
| 5 | | by adding Section 8 as follows:

| 6 | | (25 ILCS 10/8 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 8. Revenue estimate.
On and after the effective date |
| 8 | | of this amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly, the |
| 9 | | General Assembly shall, by joint resolution, establish a |
| 10 | | revenue estimate for the following State fiscal year by April |
| 11 | | 30 of each year.

| 12 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 13 | | becoming law.
