| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Professional Regulation Law |
| 5 | | of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by |
| 6 | | adding Section 2105-370 as follows:
|
| 7 | | (20 ILCS 2105/2105-370 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 2105-370. Data on applications. In conjunction with |
| 9 | | applications for licensure, the Department shall request, and |
| 10 | | applicants may voluntarily provide, demographic information |
| 11 | | that includes sex, ethnicity, race, and disability. On or |
| 12 | | before March 1 of each calendar year, the Department shall |
| 13 | | publish a report on the Department's website that contains the |
| 14 | | demographic information it collected the preceding calendar |
| 15 | | year, the number of applications for licensure and renewal of |
| 16 | | licensure it received in the preceding calendar year, and the |
| 17 | | number of applicants who were denied licensure in the |
| 18 | | preceding calendar year regardless of whether application was |
| 19 | | made in that calendar year.

| 20 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January |
| 21 | | 1, 2025. |
