AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1612 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1612 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
4    "Section 5. The Department of Professional Regulation Law 
5of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended  by 
6adding Section 2105-370 as follows:
 
7    (20 ILCS 2105/2105-370 new)
8    Sec. 2105-370. Data on applications. In conjunction with 
9applications for licensure, the Department shall request, and 
10applicants may voluntarily provide, demographic information 
11that includes sex, ethnicity, race, and disability.  On or 
12before March 1 of each calendar year, the Department shall 
13publish a report on the Department's website that  contains the 
14demographic information it collected the preceding calendar 
15year, the number of applications for licensure and  renewal of 
16licensure it received in the preceding calendar year, and the

1number of applicants who were denied licensure in the 
2preceding calendar year regardless of whether application was 
3made in that calendar year.

 
 
4    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January 
51, 2025.".
