| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 1. This Act may be referred to as the Clean Slate |
| 5 | | Act.
|
| 6 | | Section 5. The Unified Code of Corrections is amended by |
| 7 | | changing Section 5-4.5-5 as follows:

| 8 | | (730 ILCS 5/5-4.5-5) |
| 9 | | Sec. 5-4.5-5. STANDARD SENTENCING. Except as specifically |
| 10 | | provided elsewhere, this this Article governs sentencing for |
| 11 | | offenses.
