Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that a municipality that uses an automated railroad grade crossing enforcement system, automated speed enforcement system, or automated traffic law enforcement system must share any data collected by the system or systems with the Illinois State Police or a municipal law enforcement agency upon the request of the Illinois State Police or municipal law enforcement agency. Provides that a municipality may not enter into, modify, or extend a contract that would prohibit the release of the information. Limits the concurrent exercise of home rule powers.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
5 | | adding Section 11-1-15 as follows: |
6 | | (65 ILCS 5/11-1-15 new) |
7 | | Sec. 11-1-15. Automated camera enforcement system data |
8 | | sharing. |
9 | | (a) As used in this Section: |
10 | | "Automated railroad grade crossing enforcement system" has |
11 | | the meaning given to that term in Section 11-1201.1 of the |
12 | | Illinois Vehicle Code. |
13 | | "Automated speed enforcement system" has the meaning given |
14 | | to that term in Section 11-208.8 of the Illinois Vehicle Code. |
15 | | "Automated traffic law enforcement system" has the |
16 | | meanings given to that term in Sections 11-208.6 and 11-208.9 |
17 | | of the Illinois Vehicle Code. |
18 | | (b) A municipality that uses an automated railroad grade |
19 | | crossing enforcement system, automated speed enforcement |
20 | | system, or automated traffic law enforcement system must share |
21 | | any data collected by the system or systems with the Illinois |
22 | | State Police or a municipal law enforcement agency upon the |
