AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2756 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2756 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
 
4    "Section 5. The Massage Licensing Act is amended  by 
5changing Section 67 as follows:
 



6    (225 ILCS 57/67)



7    (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027)

8    Sec. 67. Continuing education. The Department shall adopt 
9rules for
continuing education for persons licensed under this 
10Act that require a
completion of 25 24 hours of approved 
11continuing education per license renewal
period.  For each 
12license renewal period, one hour of continuing education shall 
13be domestic violence and sexual assault awareness education as 
14prescribed by rule of the Department. The one-hour domestic 
15violence and sexual assault awareness continuing education 
16course shall be provided by a continuing education provider

1approved by the Department. The Department  may adopt rules 
2regarding the requirements for domestic violence and sexual 
3assault awareness continuing education courses and teachers. 
4The Department shall establish by rule a means for the 
5verification of
completion of the continuing education 
6required by this Section.  This
verification may be 
7accomplished through audits of records maintained by the

8licensee, by requiring the filing of continuing education 
9certificates with the
Department, or by other means 
10established by the Department.
