| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 1505 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 1505. Purpose and scope. This Article governs the the |
| 8 | | qualifications and procedures for the licensing of public |
| 9 | | adjusters. It specifies the duties of and restrictions on |
| 10 | | public adjusters, which include limiting their licensure to |
| 11 | | assisting insureds in first party claims.
