| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Professional Regulation Law |
| 5 | | of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by |
| 6 | | adding Section 2105-180 as follows:

| 7 | | (20 ILCS 2105/2105-180 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 2105-180. Licensure; background checks. The |
| 9 | | Department shall not require self-disclosure of criminal |
| 10 | | background information in instances where the Department has |
| 11 | | already stated that the criminal background information cannot |
| 12 | | be used against an applicant for licensure under the relevant |
| 13 | | licensing Act.
