| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Professional Regulation Law |
| 5 | | of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by |
| 6 | | adding Section 2105-405 as follows:

| 7 | | (20 ILCS 2105/2105-405 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 2105-405. Licensing liaison for international |
| 9 | | applicants. |
| 10 | | (a) The Division of Professional Regulation shall employ |
| 11 | | one full-time employee as the licensing liaison for |
| 12 | | international applicants. The licensing liaison shall assist |
| 13 | | international applicants in answering questions and providing |
| 14 | | information regarding the foreign education requirements for |
| 15 | | licenses administered by the Division of Professional |
| 16 | | Regulation. |
| 17 | | (b) The additional duties of the licensing liaison shall |
| 18 | | include, but not be limited to: (i) coordinating with |
| 19 | | personnel of the Department in processing applications from |
| 20 | | international applicants and (ii) providing education and |
| 21 | | information resources to community organizations that assist |
| 22 | | international applicants.
