| 5 | | Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by |
| 6 | | adding Section 217 as follows:

| 7 | | (20 ILCS 405/217 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 217. Global Warming Potential. The Department of |
| 9 | | Central Management Services, the Capital Development Board, |
| 10 | | and the Department of Transportation shall jointly establish a |
| 11 | | maximum acceptable Global Warming Potential (GWP) standard for |
| 12 | | State purchases of appliances and building materials for use |
| 13 | | in State-funded infrastructure projects. The GWP standard |
| 14 | | shall include an analysis that includes a life cycle |
| 15 | | assessment.". |
