Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity shall develop a program of technical assistance in support of regional manufacturing partnerships that include secondary, postsecondary, and workforce stakeholders. Provides that the program shall include a collaboration between an employer association representing manufacturers and a public university.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic |

Civil Administrative Code of Illinois |
| 6 | | is amended by adding Section 605-1110 as follows:

| 8 | | Sec. 605-1110. Technical assistance to regional |
| 9 | | manufacturing partnerships. Subject to appropriation, the |
| 10 | | Department shall develop a program of technical assistance in |
| 11 | | support of regional manufacturing partnerships that include |
| 12 | | secondary, postsecondary, and workforce stakeholders. The |
| 13 | | program shall include a collaboration between employer |
| 14 | | associations representing manufacturers and public |
| 15 | | universities.
