Amends the School Boards Article of the School Code. Provides that if a school district is classified as a Tier 1 school under Section 18-8.15 of this Code, then school board shall direct the majority of the funds provided under Section 18-8.15 of this Code to the schools in the district.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 | | 10-20.85 as follows:

| 6 | | (105 ILCS 5/10-20.85 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 10-20.85. Directing funds to schools. If a school |
| 8 | | district is classified as a Tier 1 school under Section |
| 9 | | 18-8.15 of this Code, then school board shall direct the |
| 10 | | majority of the funds provided under Section 18-8.15 of this |
| 11 | | Code to the schools in the district.
