Amends the School Safety Drill Act. Provides that a school building's emergency and crisis response plan, protocol, and procedures shall include a plan for local law enforcement to rapidly enter a school building in the event of an emergency.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The School Safety Drill Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 50 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (105 ILCS 128/50 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 50. Rapid entry. A school building's emergency and |
| 8 | | crisis response plan, protocol, and procedures shall include a |
| 9 | | plan for local law enforcement to rapidly enter a school |
| 10 | | building in the event of an emergency.
