AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3648 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3648 on page 3, by 
3replacing lines 5 through 17 with the following:


4    "(d) To facilitate the collection of information on higher 
5education in prison (HEP) programs, each 4-year public or 
6private institution of higher education with HEP degree or 
7certificate programs shall provide the Board of Higher 
8Education with student-level information as part of its 
9regular agency data-collection processes. Each public 
10community college with HEP degree or certificate programs 
11shall provide the Illinois Community College Board with 
12student-level information as part of its regular agency 
13data-collection processes. Upon request, the student-level 
14information shall include the correctional facility in which 
15the HEP program is being offered. The information provided to 
16the Board of Higher Education and the Illinois Community 
17College Board shall include HEP enrollment and completion data 
18disaggregated by variables, including but not limited to,

1race, ethnicity, gender, age, and type of degree or 
2certificate. The Board of Higher Education and the Illinois 
3Community College Board shall annually make HEP program data 
4publicly available on their Internet websites.".
