Amends the Legislative Commission Reorganization Act of 1984. Provides that the Architect of the Capitol, in conjunction with the Secretary of State, shall arrange for the installation of at least 3 supercharger electric vehicle charging stations within the legislative complex within 5 years after the effective date of the amendatory Act. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Legislative Commission Reorganization Act |
| 5 | | of 1984 is amended by adding Section 8A-23 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (25 ILCS 130/8A-23 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 8A-23. Installation of supercharger electric vehicle |
| 8 | | charging stations in the legislative complex. The Architect of |
| 9 | | the Capitol, in conjunction with the Secretary of State, shall |
| 10 | | arrange for the installation of at least 3 supercharger |
| 11 | | electric vehicle charging stations within the legislative |
| 12 | | complex within 5 years after the effective date of this |
| 13 | | amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly. As used in this |
| 14 | | Section, "supercharger electric vehicle charging station" |
| 15 | | means a high-power, direct-current system for rapidly charging |
| 16 | | the battery system of an electric vehicle.

| 17 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 18 | | becoming law.
