SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $285,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Humanities Council to be used to expand the Odyssey Project’s Spanish-language version of their program, Proyecto Odisea, and to strengthen student participation in that program and to provide travel and elder or child care stipends to first-year students participating in the program. Effective July 1, 2023.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $285,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Humanities Council to be used to expand the Odyssey Project’s Spanish-language version of their program, Proyecto Odisea, and to strengthen student participation in that program and to provide travel and elder or child care stipends to first-year students participating in the program.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2023.
