| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 3-699.99 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (625 ILCS 5/3-699.99 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 3-699.99. Military license plates; additional fees. |
| 8 | | For the purposes of this Section, "service member" means any |
| 9 | | individual who is serving or has served in any branch of the |
| 10 | | United States Armed Forces, including the National Guard or |
| 11 | | other reserve components of the Armed Forces, and has been |
| 12 | | issued a special plate listed in this Section. |
| 13 | | A service member who has been issued plates under Sections |
| 14 | | 3-609, 3-609.1, 3-620, 3-621, 3-622, 3-623, 3-624, 3-625, |
| 15 | | 3-626, 3-628, 3-638, 3-642, 3-645, 3-647, 3-649, 3-650, 3-651, |
| 16 | | 3-664, 3-666, 3-667, 3-668, 3-669, 3-675, 3-676, 3-677, 3-680, |
| 17 | | 3-681, 3-683, 3-686, 3-688, 3-693, 3-698, 3-699.12, |
| 18 | | 3-699.14(e)(2), 3-699.14(e)(6), 3-699.14(e)(12), 3-699.15, |
| 19 | | 3-699.16, 3-699.17, 3-699.18, 3-699.19, 3-699.20, 3-699.21 or |
| 20 | | 3-699.22, shall not be subject to any additional fees in |
| 21 | | excess of the applicable registration fee for the issuance or |
| 22 | | renewal of the respective special registration plate. |
