| 1 | | AN ACT concerning transportation. |
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 3-415.1 as follows: |
| 6 | | (625 ILCS 5/3-415.1 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 3-415.1. Electric vehicle decals. Upon registration |
| 8 | | of an electric vehicle subject to Section 3-402, the Secretary |
| 9 | | of State shall issue a decal that distinguishes it from |
| 10 | | non-electric vehicles. The owner of the electric vehicle must |
| 11 | | display the decal at the rear of the electric vehicle in a |
| 12 | | manner prescribed by the Secretary. |
