| 1 | | AN ACT concerning aging.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Family Caregiver Act is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 25 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (320 ILCS 65/25) |
| 7 | | Sec. 25. Provision of services. The Department shall |
| 8 | | contract with area agencies on aging and other appropriate |
| 9 | | agencies to conduct family caregiver support services to the |
| 10 | | extent of available State and federal funding. Services |
| 11 | | provided under this Act must be provided according to the |
| 12 | | requirements of State and federal law and rules, except for |
| 13 | | the provision of services to grandparents or older individuals |
| 14 | | who are relative caregivers when State funding is utilized to |
| 15 | | provide those services. |
