SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $9,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health for continued funding to the Illinois Association of Free and Charitable Clinics. Effective July 1, 2024.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $9,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Department of Public Health from the General Revenue Fund for continued funding to the Illinois Association of Free and Charitable Clinics for grants and other expenses of free and charitable clinics to provide care or make referrals for uninsured or underinsured people living with acute and chronic health issues, including, but not limited to, medical health care, behavioral health care, oral health care, outreach, health education, screening and testing, medication and related expenses, disease prevention, and vaccinations.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2024.
