| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Transportation Law of the |
| 5 | | Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding |
| 6 | | Section 2705-626 as follows:

| 8 | | Sec. 2705-626. Studies; surveys; local government |
| 9 | | construction projects. Unless prohibited by any State or |
| 10 | | federal statutory confidentiality restrictions, upon request |
| 11 | | by a unit of local government, the Department shall make |
| 12 | | available any study or survey completed by the Department that |
| 13 | | concerns traffic or the environmental impact on road |
| 14 | | construction projects. Except as otherwise provided, a study |
| 15 | | or survey conducted by the Department may be substituted for a |
| 16 | | study or survey required by a unit of local government for |
| 17 | | construction projects affecting a portion of a State |
| 18 | | right-of-way. |
