| 1 | | AN ACT concerning health. |
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
| 4 | | Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the |
| 5 | | COVID-19 School Health Care Program Vaccination Program |
| 6 | | Limitation Act. |
| 7 | | Section 5. Purpose. It is the purpose of this Act to allow |
| 8 | | individuals to have the bodily autonomy to make the decision |
| 9 | | of whether or not to receive a vaccination or its related |
| 10 | | booster that was approved by the United States Food and Drug |
| 11 | | Administration to be used under emergency use authorization |
| 12 | | for treatment of COVID-19. The State is compelled to recommend |
| 13 | | that health care facilities do not mandate that students |
| 14 | | enrolled in a health care program receive a vaccine or its |
| 15 | | related booster that has been approved under emergency use |
| 16 | | authorization as a condition of participation in any stage of |
| 17 | | the health care program. |
| 18 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 19 | | becoming law. |
