SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $15,200,000 from the Agricultural Premium Fund to the Department of Agriculture. Provides for $200,000 for expenses related to the Food Safety Modernization Initiative and $15,000,000 for deposit into the State Cooperative Extension Service Trust Fund. Effective July 1, 2024.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $200,000, or so much of that sum as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Agricultural Premium Fund to the Department of Agriculture for expenses related to the Food Safety Modernization Initiative.
Section 10. The sum of $15,000,000, or so much of that sum as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Agricultural Premium Fund to the Department of Agriculture for deposit into the State Cooperative Extension Service Trust Fund.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2024.
