HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Bernard 
4Geiger of Chicago, who passed away on December 30, 2022; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bernard Geiger graduated from Neal F. Simeon 
6Vocational High School/Career Academy in Chicago in 1970, 
7where he served as class president; during his tenure, he 
8listened to his classmates' concerns, worked with 
9administrators, and brought beneficial changes to the high 
10school during his senior year; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Bernard Geiger was known for his leadership and 
12interpersonal skills, and he touched many lives; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Bernard Geiger leaves behind a lasting legacy and 
14great memories of joy and laughter; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Bernard Geiger is survived by his children, 
16Tristan and Shannon, and the Geiger family; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
18HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
19we mourn the passing of Bernard Geiger and extend our sincere 
20condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved

2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
3presented to the family of Bernard Geiger as an expression of 
4our deepest sympathy.
