HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Debbie Ming-Mendoza on 
4the occasion of her retirement as Madison County Clerk; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Debbie Ming-Mendoza was born and raised in 
6Granite City and devoted her life to working for the people of 
7Madison County; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Debbie Ming-Mendoza began her career in the 
9Madison County Chief County Assessment Office in 1973; she 
10became Chief County Assessor in 1994 and was elected as  
11Madison County Clerk in 2012; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, In her time serving as Madison County Clerk, 
13Debbie Ming-Mendoza dedicated her career to advancing voting 
14access and integrity; and
  
 
  
15    WHEREAS, Debbie Ming-Mendoza played a significant role in 
16the betterment of Madison County by reducing taxpayer burdens 
17and, through her work establishing the Property Fraud Alert 
18program, by protecting property owners; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
20HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1we congratulate Debbie Ming-Mendoza on her retirement as 
2Madison County Clerk, and we wish her and her family a happy 
3retirement full of joy; and be it further

6esteem and respect.
