HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Jon Wagner on the 
4occasion of his retirement from Edwardsville High School 
5athletics; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Jon Wagner has been involved with Edwardsville 
7High School wrestling for 46 seasons and has been head coach 
8since 1996; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, In his 27 seasons of head coaching, Jon Wagner 
10has had 545 wins and has brought the ranking of Edwardsville 
11High School wrestling to tenth in the state; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Jon Wagner is a member of the Illinois Wrestling 
13Coaches and Officials Association Hall of Fame, and his 
14accomplishments include 17 SWC Championships, 14 IHSA regional 
15championships, four sectional championships, and four state 
16appearances; he has coached 16 state medalists and 92 state 
17qualifiers; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
19HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
20we congratulate Jon Wagner on his accomplishments in his high 
21school coaching career and wish him the best of luck in all of
