HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Jonathan 
4L. Melson, who passed away on March 31, 2023; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jonathan Melson was a devoted, proud, and loving 
6father and a personable, caring, and outgoing human being; he 
7was an amazing cook, who created recipes filled with love; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Jonathan Melson volunteered his time coaching 
9Jackie Robinson Jacquar's Pee Wee League; he had a zest for 
10living, a strong work ethic, and a love for people; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Jonathan Melson was affectionately known as "Chi 
12City"; he committed to his faith at an early age and throughout 
13his life, was surrounded by a loving family with a deep faith; 
14and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Jonathan Melson enjoyed following sports, 
16especially football; he loved the City of Chicago and  was a fan 
17of all of its teams; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Jonathan Melson is survived by numerous family 
19members and friends; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we mourn the passing of Jonathan L. Melson and extend our 
4sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew 
5and loved him; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Jonathan Melson as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
