HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize Beverly Sussman for her 29 
4years of dedicated service to the Village of Buffalo Grove, 
5contributing significantly to the growth and development of 
6the community; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Beverly Sussman has held various roles within the 
8Village of Buffalo Grove, including 15 years as a member of the 
9Rick Kahen Commission for Residents with Disabilities, six 
10years as a village trustee, and eight years as village 
11president; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Beverly Sussman spent 25 years as a sixth grade 
13science teacher with Kildeer Countryside Consolidated School 
14District #96, earning the Presidential Award for Excellence in 
15Math and Science Teaching in 1995; she also served as an 
16adjunct professor at National Louis University, inspiring and 
17educating countless students; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Beverly Sussman has consistently encouraged 
19children to be involved in their community, regularly speaking 
20to schools and youth organizations about local government and 
21the importance of civic engagement; and

1    WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure as village president, 
2Beverly Sussman has been instrumental in fostering a 
3business-friendly environment, attracting new businesses and 
4spurring economic development; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Under Beverly Sussman's leadership, the Village 
6of Buffalo Grove has successfully undertaken numerous 
7projects, including the Infrastructure Modernization Program, 
8the redevelopment of the Town Center into The Clove, the 
9opening of Woodman's grocery store, and the expansion of 
10Northwest Community Healthcare facilities; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Beverly Sussman has been a strong advocate for 
12transparent communication and community engagement, with the 
13Village of Buffalo Grove now offering multiple avenues for 
14residents to stay informed and engaged with local government; 
15therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
17HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
18we recognize and express our gratitude to Beverly Sussman for 
19her outstanding service and dedication to the Village of 
20Buffalo Grove and its residents, and we extend our best wishes 
21for her future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
22    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
