| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Ronald "Ron" Zidek, D.C. | ||||||
| 4 | on the occasion of his 50th year working as a chiropractor; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Dr. Zidek has been a chiropractor in Shelbyville | ||||||
| 6 | since April 17, 1977; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Dr. Zidek was raised in Chicago, where he | ||||||
| 8 | graduated from high school; he moved to Lombard and attended | ||||||
| 9 | the National College of Chiropractic, also known as the | ||||||
| 10 | National University of Health Sciences; while there, he worked | ||||||
| 11 | alongside his brother, a fellow chiropractor and business | ||||||
| 12 | partner; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Dr. Zidek began his chiropractic practice in | ||||||
| 14 | Westchester; he came to Shelbyville after learning of a | ||||||
| 15 | chiropractor retiring; during his first trip to Shelbyville, | ||||||
| 16 | he visited Lake Shelbyville to fish despite there being three | ||||||
| 17 | feet of snow on the ground; undeterred, he found the best | ||||||
| 18 | fishing spot, and this experience led him to move his family | ||||||
| 19 | and his practice to Shelbyville; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Dr. Zidek opened his first chiropractic practice | ||||||
| 21 | in Shelbyville at Dr. John Kircher's old office located across | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | the street from the local Moto Mart; he then moved to a new | ||||||
| 2 | location at 522 West Main Street, where he continued | ||||||
| 3 | practicing until 2021; he and his daughter, Dr. Rhonda Kull, | ||||||
| 4 | now work out of a new office building at 602 West Main Street | ||||||
| 5 | built by his daughter and her husband, Mark, in 2021; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Dr. Zidek adores Shelbyville and its people, | ||||||
| 7 | having belonged to the community for the last 46 years; in his | ||||||
| 8 | spare time, he enjoys fishing and participating in the | ||||||
| 9 | Shelbyville bowling leagues; he has made many friends over the | ||||||
| 10 | years who share his hobbies and interests; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Dr. Zidek is the husband of Sherry, and they are | ||||||
| 12 | the parents of Brandy, Charlie, Rhonda, Marisa, and Vanessa; | ||||||
| 13 | therefore, be it

| 14 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 15 | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 16 | we congratulate Ronald "Ron" Zidek, D.C. on achieving his 50th | ||||||
| 17 | year as a practicing chiropractor; and be it further
| ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 19 | presented to Dr. Zidek as an expression of our esteem.
