HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Anthony 
4Russell of Owings Mills, Maryland, who passed away on August 
54, 2023; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Anthony Russell was born in Chicago on April 4, 
71950; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Anthony Russell served in the U.S. Navy as a 
9sub-mariner and senior chief for 22 years;
he was stationed in 
10Edzell, Scotland, Anchorage, Alaska, Okinawa, Japan, and Fort 
11Meade in Maryland; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Anthony Russell served as an assistant scout 
13master with the Boy Scouts of America for many years; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Anthony Russell loved tennis and bowling; he also 
15enjoyed baseball, and  the Baltimore Orioles were his favorite 
16team; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Anthony Russell was the  husband of Wendy B. 
18Russell;  the father of Bryan A. (Debra) Russell, Richard A. 
19Russell, and David A. Russell; the  grandfather of Katelyn 
20Russell; and the brother of Eddie L. Russell (U.S. Army) and

1Kenneth L. Russell (U.S. Marines); therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
3HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we mourn the passing of
Anthony Russell and extend our sincere

5condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved

6him; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

8presented to the family of Anthony Russell as an expression of

9our deepest sympathy.
