HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Deliverance Manor 
4Housing Corporation on the occasion of its 30th anniversary 
5celebration of the opening of Deliverance Manor; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Deliverance Manor Housing Corporation has 
7provided upscale housing for the elderly in the Bronzeville 
8community in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Housing 
9and Urban Development under Section 202 of the Housing Act of 
101959; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Section 202 Supportive Housing for the 
12Elderly Program (the Section 202 program) has expanded the 
13supply of affordable housing with supportive services for the 
14elderly, permitting the residents of Deliverance Manor the 
15opportunity to live independently while in an environment that 
16provides support activities, including cleaning, cooking, and 
17transportation; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Residents of  Deliverance Manor have also received 
19quality housing services thanks to the consistent and 
20dedicated hard work of the Board of Directors of the 
21Deliverance Manor Housing Corporation, the staff of 
22Deliverance Manor, and the management services of Active

1Residential Management Services; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
3HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we congratulate the  Deliverance Manor Housing Corporation on 
5its 30 years of continued commitment towards providing 
6affordable and upscale housing to the elderly in the 
7Bronzeville community through Deliverance Manor; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  Deliverance Manor as a symbol of our esteem and 
11respect.
