HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Jeanette Anderson on the 
4occasion of her retirement from the Illinois Chamber of 
5Commerce on November 7, 2023 after 40 years of service; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Jeanette Anderson attended Simeon High School for 
7two years and then Jones Commercial High School, where she 
8completed a two year program allowing students to obtain 
9skilled office work experience, graduating in 1976; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jeanette Anderson started working as a 
11receptionist for the Chamber of Commerce in downtown Chicago, 
12holding that position for 15 years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jeanette Anderson was then promoted to the 
14Membership Department as a secretary; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jeanette Anderson assumed the duties of 
16supervisor of Financial Transactions for the Finance 
17Department in 1999; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jeanette Anderson assumed the duties of office 
19manager in 2001, and while still holding that position, she 
20was promoted to assistant to the chief operating officer in

12015; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Jeanette Anderson was promoted to her current 
3position as the administration and membership manager in 2023; 
4and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jeanette Anderson has two daughters, five 
6granddaughters, one sister, two brothers, three nieces, and 
7one nephew; and
 
8    WHEREAS, In her free time, Jeanette Anderson enjoys 
9sewing, barbecuing, and assembling products; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
11HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
12we congratulate Jeanette Anderson on the occasion of her 
13retirement from the Illinois Chamber of Commerce on November 
147, 2023 after 40 years of service; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
16presented to Jeanette Anderson as a symbol of our esteem and 
17respect.
